Iga Swiatek : Poland’s star tennis player Iga Świątek achieved another major milestone in her career by winning the Wimbledon 2025 women’s singles title. In the final match, she defeated American player Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 in a very one-sided fashion to win the title. This scoreline is known as the “double bagel” in the world of tennis and this is the first time in 114 years in a Grand Slam final that a player has won the championship without losing a game.

After the match, she said that this victory was a “special moment” in her career and hoped that now the critics will let her “play a little more peacefully.” At the trophy distribution ceremony, Britain’s Princess of Wales Kate Middleton presented her with the winner’s trophy.
